LG Revere3 - Verizon Wireless Plans For SeniorsThese plans are not available for new customers you must be an existing Verizon customer to take advantage of these plans. For more information on plans that are available for new customers, you should visit Verizon Wireless Plans Prices.

Many people are unaware that Verizon has a special plan for seniors. The plans for seniors are less expensive than that of a typical Verizon plan. As technology expands the number of seniors who are using smartphones has been increasing over time.

A research study done by pewinternet.org discovered that more than three-fourths of the population over 65 years old has a smartphone. If you are a senior who is looking for a smartphone, smartphone accessories, and a service plan then look no further. The LG Revere 3 would be a great choice for someone who is looking for a simple flip phone with basic functionality.

With the Revere 3, it’s very simple to text and the Revere 3 comes with physical keys which makes dialing numbers and accessing the menu extremely easy for anyone. This phone has a 2.2-inch color LCD screen and a menu with a large font size which makes it extremely easy to read.

The durable DuraXV+ by Kycoera would be a great fit for a person who enjoys outdoor activities. This is a flip phone which has a reputation for being durable and it meets the US military standards for extreme conditions.

Whether you work in the field of construction or you’re hiking in relatively bad weather this phone will be able to handle the added stress. The DuraXV comes equipped with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2.4-inch internal display, as well as a 1.08-inch external display.

With these plans, overage charges will occur when you exceed your plan’s monthly allowance.

If you’re due for an upgrade, but you’re not sure what phone you would like to buy next. You should consider reading some of the cell phone reviews on the latest phones to help you to make a better decision.

If you’re not sure what types of features and functionalities you would like in your next phone you should read the guide on how to choose a cell phone.

I didn’t know that Verizon had a special plan for seniors. It is a good idea though because seniors might have different needs and desires in a phone plan. It’s great that they offer a discount for seniors! This phone looks like a great choice. It looks like it can handle anything!

    Hi There,

Great article on Verizon wireless plans for seniors review, I am a senior and always on the lookout for ways on making my life a lot easier in this day and age of the technology hike, your review has certainly assisted me on what to look for when looking at my next change of smartphone, especially like the Revere 3 with its simple flip top options and will certainly be a help for me with my ageing hands making it difficult to use normal smartphones on the market. Great review and thank you.

    Regards,
    Michael

This is about the only type of phone that my grandmother can still use. She can’t read a text, so her phone is practically useless for more than a phone call. All those extra services available and she just doesn’t have the processing power anymore.
It’s a sign we have to continue exercising our brains and keep up with what’s going on rather than pushing everything away.

I would like to know about the plan that would include two phone lines but only one smart phone.

I have been with Verizon since it started and so has my husband. on my phone I only want to be able to text the kids. (I can on my flip phone) I would also like to be able to pair to blue tooth some apps that are free like news and Baseball/football. I do not want internet options I have a computer at home for that. Is there such a plan in Verizon. To package two phone with 200 min each phone as we have now plus text which I have on my phone now and to be able to Add apps for Sports?

Hi Jackie, Verizon has made some changes to their plans since I published this blog post last year. The package with two phones that offer 200 min for each phone no longer exists. However, their basic prepaid plan starts at $30 for one line and this will include unlimited talk, text, and mobile web. There’s no contract, no monthly bills, and no fees. But mobile web is a part of the package, this may be the best option for you.

I think these are great options, but if your parent needs a plan that they can be more affordable. Another option is to just add a phone to your existing account. I found a smart phone { a droid} at the time the special for the phone was free added it my account fr my mom and her portion of the bill is 49 dollars a month, unlimited talk and text and because I already have an xl plan with carry over data use is unlimited. Something to consider.
