Huawei Vision 3 LTE Review

If you’re looking for a simple phone that’s cheap and relatively easy to use then look no further. The Huawei Vision 3 LTE comes equipped with custom software that makes it easy to use for first-time cell phone users. If you are familiar with Huawei phones you will know that the majority of the phones that they have made in the past were not very durable because they were made from plastic. However, the Vision 3 LTE phone has an aluminum chassis, a 5-inch 720p display screen, and a 1400mAh battery which allows for a battery life of 6 hours.

Huawei Vision 3 LTE:

The Huawei Vision 3 LTE runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot which is pre-loaded with 2GB of memory.

The volume and the power buttons are both located on the right side of the phone.

There is a 2 MP front-facing camera at the upper right-hand side of the phone. There’s a micro-USB port at the bottom right and a 3.5mm audio jack at the top.

At the back of the phone, there is a rear-facing speaker and a 5 MP rear facing camera. On this phone, you will not be able to do very much multitasking because you will reach the RAM usage limit relatively quickly.

One of the best features of the phone that really makes it stand out from other cell phones in its price range is the 5-inch 720p display screen.

The display screen has WVGA resolution, WVGA stands for Wide Video Graphics Array. This refers to any resolution which has the same 480-pixel height as VGA but has a width that is wider than 640 pixels, for example, 848×480, 800×480, or 854×480.

The display screen has a curved glass over the LCD panel. The curve bulges slightly from one side of the phone to the other, which follows the path of your thumb as you swipe from one screen to the other.

The screen feels a little smoother than your typical display screen on a cell phone. This allows the user to effortlessly slide their finger from one side of the screen to the other.

The performance of the cameras on the phone is less than spectacular. When taking pictures of stationary objects the quality of the pictures were not bad.

However, when taking pictures of a moving object the quality was much different, the pictures tend to look a bit blurry. The front-facing camera works relatively well for video chatting but it doesn’t take the best pictures.

The phone has two modes which are simple and standard, you will be able to easily switch between these two modes from the home screen.

The vision 3 was made by Consumer Cellular which operates through T-Mobile and AT&T. Consumer Cellular is known for providing consumers with great service at a relatively low price.

The vision 3 runs on Google Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, this operating system is outdated which means that you probably will not get any updates on this phone.

The phone comes with some pre-installed apps which include Consumer Cellular apps, google apps, stock apps as well as some third-party applications.

One of the third-party applications is the SPB 3D launcher this is a sleek 3D home screen replacement.

The SPB 3D gives you the ability to choose between seven customizable home screens as well as a variety of widgets to enhance the overall look and feel of the phone.

The typing feature on this device has been enhanced by a third-party application called TouchPal.

The Huawei Vision 3 LTE may not be one of the most sophisticated phones on the market today but it’s a great fit for someone who is looking for a relatively cheap phone that’s easy to use.

Please share your experience with me about the Huawei Vision 3 LTE or Consumer Cellular in the comment section below.

The Huawei Vision 3 LTE Specs

  1. I actually looked at this cell phone…but ending purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S7….very happy….32gb + 128gb micro sd card

  2. H Vision 3 phones have dropped to $25, is there a reason? Problems experienced with these phones or just making room for the next version by clearing them out?

  3. I love my Huawei vision 3lte. Great review Marvin. I think you got it all right. I find the phone easy to use. I installed a tempered glass screen protector and bought a case for the phone. It functions just as promised and the price was a steal.

  4. Good and Fair review of this phone. I got this phone for $25 from Consumer Cellular. Mainly as a backup. I tell you it’s not bad for the price. Very crisp bright display, snappy phone. Feels good in your hand, everything works well calls, texts etc. Email, Facebook, etc. works well, I installed 16GB SD Card for additional storage. So if you looking for something simple, easy to use, and cheap, this is a great deal.

  5. I bought a BB years ago and placed it in the dresser where it now sleeps. It had 17 minutes of usage. I could not use it because of the tiny keys. I have been using a $15 Dollar tree or dollar something for several years because of larger keys but the battery life is only about 3 days if with no usage. I only carry a phone if I leave the house because of health problems. Does this phone have tiny keys like a BB. I don’t text and will not unless I lose my voice. If a seller requires text only, he/she lost a sale. I am 74 and could buy any phone I wish but see no reason to purchase an expensive phone I might use once or twice a month. Please reply about the key size. I thank you.
