The word on the street is that Google has signed a three-year contract with HTC to collaborate on building some Nexus phones on behalf of google, and this is supposed to happen sometime in 2016. The HTC’s Nexus is supposedly being tested right now, these devices are code named the M1 and the S1 based on an article written on phonearena.com.
GizmoChina stated that the HTC Nexus phones will support a full implementation of Google’s soon to be released 3D touch feature. And these phones will run on the Android N operating system, Android N is the code name for an upcoming release of the next Android mobile operating system.
It will be interesting to see this new 3D technology implemented into an Android phone, and the impact that it will have on the smartphone industry today.
It looks as though the HTC Nexus phones will be the first phones that will feature the new 3d touch display technology. It’s likely that many of the Android phones that will be released in the future will probably adopt this new 3D touch technology as well.
At one time the HTC brand was doing very well in the smartphone industry. But in the past few years there has been a significant decline in the sales of the HTC. However, HTC has recently released the HTC 10 which is doing very well on market the right now.
It seems as though HTC has been having a hard time keeping up with the advancements in technology in the smartphone industry.
Hopefully, this collaboration with HTC and Google will have a positive outcome for both parties involved.
And hopefully, the public continues to embrace the HTC brand of smartphones in the future as well as they have been embracing the newly released HTC 10. Please let me know what you think about this collaboration with Google and HTC in the comment box below.
