Install Wondershare Dr. Fone:
The Dr. Fone app is a desktop app that can be used on Windows and Mac. The steps you need to follow to recover your text messages are the same regardless of what version you are using.
Connect Your Computer To Your Phone:
To connect your computer to your phone and synchronize them with Dr. Fone you will need a USB cable to do this. After making the connection you must make sure Dr. Fone has been synchronized with the two devices.
On Your Phone, USB Debugging Mode Must Be Enabled:
After connecting the computer to your phone via the USB cable, Dr. Fone will launch automatically. When this happens you will see a pop-up window which says Superuser request on the display screen on your phone.
You must tap allow, this will give the app permission to access your phone’s memory where your text messages are stored.

Find Deleted Text Messages By Scanning Your Phone:
Upon completing the steps above you must tap Start, this will enable the app to scan your phone’s memory. This process normally takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Preview Your Deleted Text Messages Before Saving Them:
After the scan has been completed, you must go to the Messages section of the app. In this section, you will see your deleted text messages along with a list of deleted data.
If you’re not interested in recovering any of the other data that showed up after the scan. You can hide this data by selecting “Only display deleted items” then select view deleted messages.
After doing this, you will have a list of your text messages that have been retrieved as well as the deletion/modification dates.
Searching via the search box is great because if you’re looking for one specific text message you can find it by inputting the text from the text message or keywords that appear within the content.
Save Recovered Text Messages:
To save your recovered text messages all you have to do is check the appropriate box from the list and tap Recover.
