This year, Samsung flooded the market with A-series, i.e. mid-range devices, and one of the best of these is the Galaxy A52s 5G, which can easily be purchased for around Rs 67,999 ($300 USD) though its official Samsung price in Pakistan is Rs 71,999 ($320 USD.)

For the money, we get a really excellent Super AMOLED display capable of 120 Hz image refresh and HDR10+ compatible, with a fingerprint scanner built into the screen, further complemented by the stereo speakers.

The 3.5 mm jack has been retained, in addition to that, this phone is rated IP67 (water and dust resistance).

On the hardware front, this phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, and it comes equipped with the Adreno 642L graphics, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of (expandable) storage to enhance performance.

The enactment is on the modest side but it’s more than enough to ensure that there are no problems with the operating system. Running multiple applications, and less resource-intensive games do not cause problems on the phone.

The battery has a capacity of 4500mAh and it can easily withstand a day of moderate usage, but the fast charging here is only 25 watts, moreover, the adapter that comes with the device can only transfer 15 watts – it’s no coincidence that this device is cheaper than the Nord 2.

Fortunately, 5G connectivity and dual SIM  are present in addition to a Bluetooth 5.0 module and NFC. We also get the latest WiFi 6 technology which ensures a faster and more stable connection.

The cameras are decent for a phone in this price range. This phone comes equipped with a  32-megapixel module on the front and four sensors on the back.

The main camera comprises of a 64-megapixel sensor that performs well along with a decent wide-angle unit that can also be used at night.

The camera setup is further complemented by a 5-megapixel macro and a 5-megapixel depth-of-field sensor.

If photography is more important than raw performance, then the Galaxy A52s 5G may be a better choice than the Galaxy A32, and in general, if you’re looking for an upper mid-range phone at an affordable Samsung price, this model is the best value for money right now.

Xiaomi 11T 5G

As with all the phone lists, Xiaomi cannot be left out here either, and this time we have selected one of the manufacturer’s latest models, the 11T 5G, in the lineup.

This device has been available in Pakistan since the middle of March. Although we had problems with the Pro version which is significantly more expensive, the plain version is quite a fair offer, especially if you manage to get it for around PKR 74,999 ($335 USD.)

If performance and fast charging are important to you, this device is ideal. We get 66 watts of the latter here, accompanied by a 5,000 mAh battery, so the phone not only lasts for almost two days but can be charged from zero to 100 in about half an hour.

On the hardware front, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset runs the show with 8 GB of memory, and 128 or 256 GB of storage: nothing can beat this combination, and the phone can cope with even the most demanding mobile games.

What we, therefore, have to give up in return is wireless charging and the In-Display fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the side of the frame instead, it’s built into the power button.

In addition, the Xiaomi 11T 5G is ideal for gaming not only because there are impressive components under the cover, but also because the 6.67-inch AMOLED screen provides a great overall display: it can refresh at 120 Hz and supports the HDR10+ standard.

A 16-megapixel selfie snapper is placed on the front, and there are three shooters on the back.

A 108-megapixel main camera, which can take 108-megapixel pictures, in addition to an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP telephoto macro, which is responsible for both close-up pictures and a somewhat modest two-fold zoom.

In terms of photography, the Galaxy A52s 5G is still the better choice, but if the budget is under Rs. 80,000 ($360 USD) and the main focus is performance, the Xiaomi 11T 5G can be a better choice.
