The Asus ZenFone AR is the first smartphone to feature Tango and Daydream by Google. Tango is a new augmented reality (AR) technology that expands your vision and changes the way you interact with the world. Daydream gives you the ability to experience high-quality, immersive virtual reality (VR) with your phone.
Asus ZenFone AR Has 8GB Of RAM:
Aside from Tango and Daydream, the Asus ZenFone AR is also the first smartphone in the world that has 8GB of RAM. The 8GB of RAM may be a necessity to provide a great user experience with the new Tango and Daydream features.
Asus ZenFone AR Specs:
The ZenFone was unveiled at CES 2017, it has a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. Gorilla Glass 4, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 32/64/128/256 GB of UFS 2.0 storage.
A microSD card slot, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2. USB-C support, 3,300 mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support, and Android 7.0 Nougat.
The ZenFone comes equipped with four cameras, three cameras are located at the back. The cameras at the back are part of the TriCam system which is required for Project Tango.
The cameras in the back are 23-megapixel cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 4-axis optical image stabilization. A motion tracking camera and depth-sensing sensor. The selfie camera is a wide-angle 8-megapixel camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.
I’m not sure why the phone doesn’t have a Snapdragon 835 processor? This is the chipset that the other premium smartphones will have in 2017.
